If you're a pc person that casually uses consoles for exclusives, no disc drive in no problem. PCs haven't had disc drives for like a decade or more. It's not that bad to not have discs. It's actually more convienent. I'd rather have digital that never scratches, and I can transfer it to any new device

Agreed. Fast internet + a few good games installed is all I need. If I want to play something new and am low on space, just delete and download the new game in like 20 minutes.

You can get a prebuilt rn on Microcenter, that’s probably on par with the ps6 in specs, and the pc will basically cost more or less the same over the ps6’s lifespan(when you factor pc having cheaper games, and free online).

Lack of a disc drive better means the current disc drive will work on there. It'd be stupid to not work since I expect it to be backwards compatible with PS5 discs.

Nah that doesn't mean anything, the design of the console may be different to the point that the current disc drive is incompatible.

However, they will 100% offer a PS6 specific disc drive for it if the PS5 drive isn't compatible.

I hope I can add my m2 SSD from my Pro to any future console.

I like both the X and PS5 but everyone needs a little competition.

Nintendo used to be the go-to machine but Sega, Sony and M$ pushed in and now Nintendo went from selling alpha consoles to being the secondary handheld/home consoles hybrid for gamers to use. The curveball to Sony's fastball.

M$ needs to bring the heat frfr. Competition is always good for gamers. Nintendo isn't playing the same game as the other two. Xbox can't beat Sony at their own game....they gotta shake up the market bring something different.
