We don't need a PS6 for a very long time. I know it's been six years so far since we've had the PS5, but it feels like we're only just getting started.

In any case, it should be at the very LEAST, 2tb and even that isn't gonna be enough. GTA 6 alone is gonna be the largest game so far and will damn near take half a day to install.

Obviously it ain't gonna come with a disc drive, we know that already. But if there's gonna be no physical media AT ALL, then the drive should be 4tb.

They've really been on some real bullshyt lately. :stopitslime:

I agree. my PS5 has the default SSD that it came with, plus the additional 2TB I added, and the 2TB external I have from the PS4 that has my PS4 games still.

that said, with a total of almost 5TB, my hard drives are essentially about 50% full, and I'm not even buying a ton of games. and I have deleted plenty.

1TB is essentially a slap in the face when we're talking about a console that's gonna drop closer to 2030 at this point.

I literally just re-bought red dead redemption for like $15, cuz my PS5 cannot play the disc game, and the download time was talking about 11 hours. I couldn't even play last night :sadcam:

Fix your internet, breh. It shouldn't take you that long to download 125gb. But, if you're in a rural area, maybe you can't get fast internet. But, you should upgrade your internet if you can

I haven't had a console in over 15+ years so I want to ask how big are console games nowadays? PC wise one of my drives has about 25 games ranging from 25gb to 100+gb on a 2TB.

Nah that doesn't mean anything, the design of the console may be different to the point that the current disc drive is incompatible.

However, they will 100% offer a PS6 specific disc drive for it if the PS5 drive isn't compatible.

I hope I can add my m2 SSD from my Pro to any future console.
That's my hope too is that I can just pop my 4tb m2 into the PS6. The never used the SSD to it's full capacity so there shouldn't be a reason to move to a newer standard

it could have been the PSN causing the slowness. none of my other devices were having a problem. it downloaded while I was sleep.

It just depends on the game. Call of Duty is the worst offender where it's almost 250gbs due to all the past 4 games in one file. Also strange enough MK1 was 140GBs :scust:

Lack of a disc drive better means the current disc drive will work on there. It'd be stupid to not work since I expect it to be backwards compatible with PS5 discs.
No way. The console design will be different.
Rumors about a console that won't be out for at least another 4 years :mjlol:

Even cac tweets are jumping the shark
This thing is dropping holiday next year.:russ:

:yeshrug: personally I'm not convinced there needs to be a PS6 any time soon

I'm quite happy with my PS5 and I'm not sure what a PS6 would be able to do that my PS5 can't. Slightly better graphics?

My only real gripe with the PS5 was that it shipped with an excessively small HD, but you don't need a new console to fix that.
