On the real my nikka... What are we missing on PC exclusives? :mindblown:

And I don't even give a fukk about cash tournaments lol

Damn good question outside of Warcraft or Starcraft what is on the PC worth playing?

Too many games to name honestly, of every genre. Go browse something like Steam, or GoG, or Greenmangaming. People are stuck in the 1995 mindstate that the only games on PC are FPS or strategy games.

What I'm saying is it doesn't matter if you don't care. It's not as if Valve is saying "let's market this to people that don't give a fukk". There is a vast market that exists completely independent of whether or not you care about it.

The average console gamer don't give a fukk about Steam either, but 65 million people use it, more than Xbox Live. If Valve operated solely on who doesn't care about them they wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar company.

Ok so you saying this is being marketed over seas. I got you now.

That's news to me! Have sales for MMO games gone down like that?

the typical console owner who plays madden call of duty won't be playing world of warcraft

that being said those games do sell well i just can't fathom how people really are interested in games like world of warcraft other than them really just not having a life in any capacity

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
this is a long game. they're not trying to come out the gate competing with consoles. early adopters will probably be enthusiasts, and the type that might buy all the consoles anyway. but if people enjoy the experience, they'll get on reddit/neogaf/coli/whatever to tell people about it, and more people will be willing to try it out

also with the way PC hardware moves, imagine the 'Steam Machine' for the same price a year from now. meanwhile the consoles will be stuck with their static hardware

its just about making the PC experience more accessible to more people. more and more people are already getting into HTPC's and hooking their gaming rigs up to the big screen, and something like this will only expand on that
Yea u right about that..consoles gotta step it up with their exclusive or they may have a serious problem on their hands..

I would personally love for this to succeed though and it would force developers to start making real exclusives on the pc platform to make it worth it to invest in one

i don't give a fukk about war strategy games or MMO' loser interaction rpg's i want real games on the pc platform that don't exist on consoles for me to go and spend 500 dollars on a graphics card

Valve isn't a foreign company. Steam wasn't marketed overseas but has 65 million users. It's marketed to who is interested in it. You're sitting here with your arms folded like "nope! no interest!" as if that affects anything, which confuses me. I'm sure you're smart enough to know something can exist, and flourish, totally independent of your personal interest in it.

How big is the market for PC gamers who are enamored with power but too lazy to build their own PC? Thats who this will appeal to.

Thats basically what we are trying to figure out, who is in the market for this machine?

My guess would be gamers

:ld:

:skip:

im saying though, why. pc gamers tend to shyt on using a controller in favor of keyboard/mouse. plus the majority of pc gamers already have their rigs set up.im trying to see why console gamers would pick this in favor of ps4/xbox when that's where most of the exclusives would go. i just dont understand

"Haha, I'm not building some expensive ass gaming PC to play on some small ass monitor" - Console Gamer
"I'm not playing games with KB/M :scusthov: " - Console Gamer
"PC gaming is too hard to set up, it's not convenient if I can't play from my couch" - Console Gamer

*sees SteamBox news/specs*

"Who is this marketed to though?" - Console Gamer

space, the apu size gives it a viable realistic looking option under a entertainment stand.
