i have not bought or played madden in at least 13 years probably...maybe longer. the last one i played religiously had shaun alexander or mcnabb on the cover. if they actually improved it they would definitely sell more because a lot of old fans dont bother anymore...but perhaps the R&D cost aint worth it extra revenue

i dont play fifa anymore for the same reason

I was talking to my ten year old son last night about which sports game he was excited for that hasn't come out yet and he said, fast as hell, madden is the least excited because it's the same every year. He's come to that conclusion and this is only year five of my getting this for him yearly.

I was a beta tester who had ideas... and they ended up using most of what I had to say up until they sold Sega Sports to Take 2 interactive which then created 2k Sports. I got in simply by going to Sega.com and clicking on CONTACTS at the bottom of the page. Then made a pitch about I know they about to start the beta phase for NBA2k1 and its based in Cali. But how do you know if it'll work on the east coast without testers? If you do test, I would like to be a part of the east coast beta testing team.

Thought nothing of it, didn't get a response. About a month later or so later I got a brown envelope in the mail.

After the beta they said as a thank you for beta testing, you can keep the disc. This was march of 2000? Game came out in September
I got every 2k in the mail months in advance. Had to give feedback. And why do I say I was a co-creator? I told them how to use "cut-scenes" to keep the play immersive because it was on some fukk shyt back in them days. I told them to add ESPN, chris Bergman/etc. Signature shots which they added in 2k6. A bunch of other shyt. The series got stagnant after 2k6 and was considered mid until 2k11 when they put Jordan on the cover but my point for that is I saw how my ideas was used, how they sent me all their games, and then how all communication got cut off once they sold the studio. I don't know who was getting credit for my ideas, but I know what I said, and they kept me in the fold without me ever talking to anyone directly. It was all via email. I still have the letter Sega sent which is the NDA, but the actual emails was via Seganet which was the online service for Dreamcast.

My mother did a similar move a decade before. She been a fan of Bill Duke since the original car wash. She wanted to start a Bill Duke fan club, reached out to his publicist. It reached him and they both felt it was a great idea and my mom ran the Bill Duke fan club for a few years before moving on to start the Jesus fan club. But back to the Bill Duke fan club. We would get passes to all his premiers. The first was to a rage in Harlem with the after party at a club in New York. I was only 12 at this time so mom dukes wasn't sure if I could get into the after party... so I didn't go at all, my brothers friend went. They brought back pictures.

I never stopped expressing how salty I am over not going, even mentioned it jokingly at my bros funeral. I got pictures, I'll post some later if anyone wants to see that. The way she pulled that off was in the back of my mind when I emailed Sega. Closed mouths don't get fed is the saying...

I wanted to start a website with this place a long time ago, then reached out to Sony/Xbox/Nintendo asking if we could get games to review. Microsoft said yes, Sony didn't respond and Nintendo told me they had to see the site first to confirm and then they would talk more.

I tried to get everyone on board here and Coli fukkery took over in ways that saddened me. For years some members mocked me? I'm like, you're hurting yourselves
All we needed to do was review a few games, that's it. Nobody wanted to review anything and then the topic became how much money am I making off this? And before anything could get started, it was nobodies with no vision arguing over imaginary money that didn't exist yet. And if it grew into something special? I'd run things accordingly. But this was enough to get this community to do nothing. So they post here giving opinions for free instead
