IMO, I think Smack been trying to get the most views possible with these battles. Swave is a big name, but he isn't a major draw like Surf, Mook, etc. Verb vs Swave would've been went down on Smack if Swave could draw... IMO.

Nah Verb directly told Pen a few weeks back to set up him vs. Swave and Pen never responded back. Verb isn't afraid to battle Swave in NY. He's not afraid of getting booed. He just wants money.

I really wanted Hitman vs Surf but I can see why Surf would take Mook over Hitman. Surf knows he can win and beating Mook just solidifies his status even further.


Hitman vs Clips is ehhh.. But it's cool on paper. But why are people saying nikkas like JC should be given a shot? Hitman gave a PG nikka a shot in JJDD. Let other Vets give these new nikkas a shot. Hitman did his part.

Surf was just on battle rap arena the other night, dope interview. Really looks like he wants to take Mook and kill him because he doesn't think he's that good. He said Mook was great for his time but still hasn't battled a real URL nikka, cause Solomon isn't a URL battler, so that doesn't count.

He would battle Reed, but said Reed is another one that wouldn't win a round against any top tier URL guy. He said Reed came from an era where yelling and getting in someone's face made you nice. He said now there's double entendres, wordplay, stories, schemes, punchlines, it's a whole different era.

He said he wanted to take Hitman before, and probably still would eventually, but that Hitman is too "sometimey" for him. And I know exactly what he means.

He said Rex would be a more debatable battle than Mook, and Lux would give him trouble. But him and Lux are cool, and said it doesn't make sense really for any to battle Lux. And said even tho he beat Hollow, Hollow deserves the Lux battle cause he put in mad work for the culture

They asked him about Joe Budden battling Math, and said he would think Math should win if they ever battled (It's been talked about), because he's a veteran and knows how this whole thing works, but he think if he came down to bars Budden would win cause he's a better rapper than Math.

After rewatching the battle.. I got JC edging Ill. His 2nd and 3rd was

And yeah like Corner said, all the names are playing politics avoiding certain people (B Magic, JC specifically). The stuff that goes on behind the scenes are just like the regular rap industry. Trust me.

JC 2nd was stupid but I felt he took too long to get to his punches in the 3rd and alot of them weren't that good. Its close but I fukked with ill's 3rd.

I go in the random thoughts thread and yall say JC has been 3-0 in every battle hes had(except ill 2-1) and some of yall say he beat chilla.

I say he deserves that clips spot and everyone is like Any of you JC fans want to explain that.

if rex is gonna battle the jae millz intrigues me, when smack was on stage i think right after the rex/diz battle he was like yall wanna see rex/cal and most people was like ehhh like they didnt boo but nobody was really cheering lol then somebody was like jae millz, crowd didnt erupt but it got more love. I have very little interest in rex/cal but rex/millz i think could be dope i think millz might translate well he has that cocky swag no homo and his rhymes should be decent enough though i havent really listened to his young money shyt so i dont know if he fell off but its intriguing.
