When I saw his interview and they asked him what he was going to do I could see it in his eyes... dude wants out. He got a taste of the playoffs and he knows his career is winding down. He's gone next season but he only signs with a team that has a shot at making the Superbowl. My guess is he winds up with the Patriots

Palmer did retire after the Bungles said they would not honor his trade request. When the Raiders called about Palmer he was sitting on his ass and it was the middle of the 2011 season, after Jason Campbell got injured.
Palmer was ready to sit out as long as he had to because he was no longer going to play for the Bungles

Johnson in Carolina for a season or two with Cam would be a match made in heaven and I would love if he ended up going there when it's all said and done. Obviously the Patriots seem like a great fit and they probably would be but I would love to see him with Newton throwing him bombs if I had a choice. Cam has never had an elite wide receiver and Calvin would be reenergized playing with the Panthers.
