this delusional cac honestly thought he was as popular as the rock and deserved to beat the rock

i wanted to see him get humbled

He should have gone over. That defeat was emblematic of the ongoing problem of WWE putting their retired legends over the current, over top tier wrestlers. The message that no matter how good you are (and Punk was legitimately one of the best, whether you like it or not), the old timers are better is destructive as hell.

Rock is the GOAT but I agree. Punk going over Rock benefits Punk a lot more, and 0 damage wouldve been done to the Rock because hes solidified. Rock lost to Hurricane of all people and didnt suffer at all.

Rock wouldve been open to doing that too. I agree with Punks reasoning for being bitter about that. Old wrestlers coming back and sonning the future stars is a bad idea.

CM Punk is powder keg of fukkery waiting to explode :mjlol:

If he never debuts in UFC or he manages to debut and gets washed if the hardcore MMA fans are gonna have a field day with this shyt. If Punk wins MMA fans are gonna be mad as fukk. If Punk calls it quits and returns to the WWE, it's gonna be lit. :russ:

No matter the outcome fukkery is guaranteed. July can't come soon enough :blessed:
What happens in july?

:manny:

The Rock came back to lose to Cena ..no way he was gonna lose to Punk...losing to a legend doesn't hurt Punk..0 damage was done to him. He lost the belt to a legend instead of someone like Sheamus who could've easily lost to Cena a month later in typical WWE fashion.

Isn't The Rock the reason why Punk got that long ass title reign anyway? :patrice:

There was no reason for Rock to go over there. He is and was bigger than the entire E and was a draw without the belt. Putting the belt on him was unnecessary since they just used it to feed Cena another title reign. From a pure marketing standpoint Twice in a Lifetime + a second WWE title match is much more interesting than the Twice in a Lifetime NO ONE wanted to see again.

That Samoan midget had nothing to do with CM Punk's title reign. This hasn't been revealed before now, but Hunter and I are the reason for it. If I was medically cleared, I would have put over Punk in our match, but since I wasn't, I felt I owed Phil and any Waffle House employees that might have been offended. And since I had the longest modern-era reign at that time, Hunter, ran it by me first to make sure I was ok with Punk eclipsing it. After several bottles of $5000 Malbac personally given to me by Adam Sandler on the set of "The Longest Yard", I decided Punk was the guy to break my record. He had my blessing then, and if I had to do it all over again, I would.
