Problem is... dude in the SUV was driving in the middle of the highway to begin with.
Middle-lane hoggers should be shot on sight because their asses should be on the right one like they are supposed to be. What's their problem with driving in the right lane of the road ? Is this that hard ? IMO, that's the reason the bikers were surrounding him in the first place. Don't you see the looks they gave dude while passing him ? That's why the biker brake-checked like a lunatic : he fukked with him to force him to get back on the right lane. But the biker was stupid to brake that hard...
What dude in the SUV should have done before it was too late was to push his hazard warning lights and slow down when he saw the bikers surrounding him and then, let them ALL pass to get back on the right lane (or to keep middle-lane hogging...) so it would have been safer for both him and his fam AND the bikers. I just don't understand how you can keep driving while you have vehicles passing you by both your left and right. That's absolutely unsafe.
That said, the bikers were driving like they owned the road and felt powerful inside the swarm they were forming. When they checked dude before he pumped into one of them, they should have let him a way to get on the right lane, which they didn't do and caused the situation to escalate. Because RR dude had no escape way out of the swarm then
And yeah, any people who ever rode a bike know that you're the most vulnerable at very low (you have no momentum therefore no balance) and high speed (too much momentum therefore trajectories can hardly be changed and any bump can kill you), so dude should have keep driving fast on the highway until they ran out of gas. That was the safer situation for him and his fam and the most logical thing to do but I guess he lost all sense of reason when his felt his family was in danger.
