I think it's pretty obvious his tires got slashed after the initial bump. A range Rover doesn't lose its rubber that fast unless it's been riding on a flat for a few miles in excess of 40mph. Plus somebody put up a gif of someone punching out his sideview mirror when he was first stopped. It's sad what happened to that 1 biker but when u trap a scared animal he is going to hurt u. Especially if he is with his family.

It's not even that.
You see these types of groups all through Harlem/bronx. 95% of them have no paperwork or even a license. So if police show up, they WILL run.
Once they run and the police give pursuit not only does it produce mayhem in the streets, but it's VERY easy to end up killing one of them. They fall off and get ran over or they crash into a pole or something.
So the NYPD protocol is to not chase them. That's why they ride in groups cause it assures police don't even bother.

When I first heard of the story I kinda sided with the bikers. I thought it was another case of the media incriminating people without the full info. But if these dudes were just running around terrorizing the streets, then I'm sad to say they deserved everything they got
