The latest on Trent Williams: Washington was close to a deal with Minnesota earlier on Friday, but it fell through. Other teams remain interested in Williams, including San Francisco. But, as has been stated often this week, the 49ers' interest is tied to whether or not Joe Staley retires and creates a void. The Los Angeles Rams could become a team to watch -- if they can create more cap room. Both the Rams (Sean McVay) and 49ers (Kyle Shanahan) have coaches who have worked with Williams.
