All in all though, I felt like it lacked the real bite it needed to really take it over the top. The movie captures the plot....but not necessarily the rage or anger that King wrote the book with. The whole time I was watching, I was trying to figure out what tone they were gone for.
I knew they wouldn't stuck with the book's ending in this one for sure....wife stabbed 60 times along with baby? Nah. Plane flying into the Gaming network skyscraper and then cuttin' to black? Hell nah. But I think they could've still circumvented those things and still pacc'd a gut punch in there somewhere.
I did not need Ezra's character on no goofy conspiracy time to be one of the last images I saw by any means
But maybe it works for the masses cuz my lady liked it and when I told her about King's ending, she asked why he always tryna kill everybody
