Don't know where the idea that Kozlov was like Khali came from, Kozlov was a Sambo and Kickboxing champion trained in Judo Freestyle Wrestling and MMA who also played Rugby and American Football yet nikkas is claimin he wasn't athletic and trash in the ring.
Wit all those fightin disciplines he's trained in they criminally held him back cause they got a certain style they want everyone to use, when they finally started lettin him use some of his skills wit them throws and kicks his matches got alot more interestin. Just think how goat it woulda been if they took the restraints off and let him get on his Blackman/Shamrock shyt when he was booked as an unstoppable force, dude woulda easily been another main event talent they could still be usin til this day and put him wit Rusev instantly creatin another top star and wouldn't have to scramble anytime someone gets injured runnin back to their Cena/Orton safety net.Ironic they paired him up wit Santino cause they did the same shyt to him, muhfukka a martial arts expert that can go in the ring and had a Russian destroyer gimmick just like Kozlov/Rusev he was usin but they gave him that dumbass comedy character playin to the kids. Given how much they like to push dudes like Sheamus cause they perceived as big tough guys, love legit badasses like Brock, and been tryna recreate that Nikolai Volkoff/Nikita Koloff heel for a while now it don't make sense that they threw away a wrestler like Kozlov gift-wrapped to them who fit each category and had all the prerequisites. Even more crazy is they didn't attempt to use Santino's Russian gimmick even after they paired him wit Kozlov where they coulda had their new Bolsheviks, or even now since he been off TV for a minute they could have him get recruited by Lana to team wit Rusev and reintroduce him as Boris Alexiev.
And don't even get me started on the way they wasted Ezekiel Jackson who was the new and improved Ahmed Johnson, that Goliath Maulers team of Kozlov and Jackson coulda been this generation's dominant monster tag team like Road Warriors/Demolition/Outsiders/Harlem Heat. For a company that claims they hate vanilla midgets they stay under usin the big muscular tough dudes on their roster even when he's a clone of their main event big guy Batista that just quit like Mason Ryan was. They did Ryback dirty when he was at his peak more over than everyone and becomin their next star for the future but they still have the chance to make him the main event beast now that he's comin back from injury, matter fact both him and Reigns are set to come back any day now so if they play their cards right they'll finally have two big guys main eventin one a face and one a heel feudin wit each other and creatin their own epic rivalry like Cena/Orton.
Kozlov was still in his 20s when he was havin his initial push in the title picture as the unstoppable Russian, he was actually the same age as Rusev at that time he was competin for the championship.but Rusev is younger, Kozlov looked like he was doing it for the money
