Nah they just gonna get an old stunt double or sideline him for the action scenes. Basically that movie the Other Guys. The comedy is the most important part anyway.

They’ll just pair down the action like they did for Part 3. Probably put the emphasis on the comedy/locations.
The comedy is the possibility of this existing. He's beyond the age of full social security benefits for my generation and he's still supposed to be a working detective?
They should give this a legacy sequel treatment and have him be a supporting character at best.

Bro its a comedy lol. None of it makes any logical sense. Hell Will Smith and Martin Lawrence running around kicking ass and taking names at their ages in the new Bad Boys films is categorically ridiculous but those movies work because of the natural chemistry between the actors and the comedy is still funny.
They could easily just have Jackie’s character being retired as a cop but working as a private investigator. Some hijinks happen that bring Lee & Carter back together and BOOM just go from there.
