It's 7:22 AM. Barely anything is open.

lack of cars does not = lack of people.
For the time being, from my experience this last week, the traffic problem in Manhattan is solved.

I used to work a block up from this intersection. 7:22 am was bumper to bumper.
New Yorkers, is there a ton of cab companies still around nowadays?

Just saying at that hour businesses are not being effected. And like you said foot traffic is what matters not cars bumper to bumper.

I drove into the city yesterday from Queens at about 5PM and was shocked at how little traffic there was, major change from my experience driving in so far.
Literally zero backup heading into the Midtown Tunnel.
What used to be close to an hour took about 30 mins.

Cuz the new toll?
We had some similar shyt happen on a major stretch in Toronto. No cars allowed. The businesses suffered as there was less foot traffic. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
