White's are nowhere near being "oppressed" at least nowhere near the extent other groups have been in this country, but that demographic shift is happening. They feel it and will start to vote like more minority groups have voted as they become minorities themselves. I think it's too late for them.
you don't see the difference between white pride and black/brown pride? Really? It's all about context. White pride is just like male pride or able body pride, etc. saying black pride is similar to irish saying irish pride- it's to celebrate and uplift, not denigrate other people. it's a way to say you're not ashamed or embarrassed even though you've been told you should be. someone saying black pride is not saying they hate whites or anyone else. they're retaliating against the norms of the culture that tell them their skin i s source of shame. brown pride is similar because indigenous latinos have literally been socially conditioned to mate with europeans to "better" their race. european is better than everyone else and if you're mixed with Italian or spaniard you are better than a brown indigenous person. that belief is inherent in their culture, from the celebrities on their tv to the color of the governing officials; it's unapologetic colorism. saying brown/black pride doesn't mean you think everyone else is below you, it just means you're rejecting the long socially held norm that being brown or black is bad, evil, pagan, UGLY, unintelligent,inferior etc. asian pride is usually said among disenfranchised asian groups like the vietnamese. you don't really hear japanese americans standing by that slogan unless they've been discriminated against in some way. i don't really compare asian pride to brown and black pride; their histories are so different. whites imperialized the south asian countries, but not as widespread as they did africa and the americas. maybe an asian coli member could express their opinions and experiences.

I know I don't get offended by female pride....mainly because I'ma man I'm aware of the privileges that I'm given over women.
I feel it. Whites have contributed a lot to the world, but there really is no need to make a movement celebrating them/their contributions since it's done by default in the media, text books, etc.
You really needed this to be explained to you?So what I'm getting is these pride movements are for out of power groups to feel better about themselves. When groups in power start pride movements at best it's redundant and at worst it's supremacy.
I have heard conversations of Black pride turn into Black supremacy on this very site, but I assume that's gonna happen from time to time.
White's are losing America to demographics. And clearly, they're not going to do it without a fight. I still think it's a losing battle.
