I don’t like the idea that because someone paid you well you lose the right to criticize or even make fun of them.
If Puff gave me a job with a great salary that helped me provide for my family that doesn’t mean I owe him loyalty. I also did the work to earn the money. So he got what he deserved out of me already.
Russell Simmons just wants to be remembered for his career and not for fukkery but you don’t get to pick your legacy only your actions. Had he not chosen to behave in a certain way he wouldn’t have to beg the public to “remember all the good.”
