He was the highest selling rapper when he was alive. No revisionist history. No one has been able to replace him in almost 20 years now. No one has even come close.
One of the highest, BTNH, Biggie, Fugees, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Biggie all did around the same region.
And that's just sales, is Nelly better than Nas? 50 better than Cube? Eminem the goat?
The point is that Pac stans have made it seem like everyone has to be a Pac stan and was a pac stan or hater. When I was a kid I recall it being like it is today with these new rappers (with less haters). Some fukked with them and other didn't, there wasn't any consensus on anything, Pac stans perhaps a bit wilder than the rest after he passed but that was it. He probably had the most fans, s a respected rapper and a goat candidate. While a bunch of oldies were saying that people like him and Snoop were killing hiphop with their crime promoting ways and stuff. That was how it was around my way at least, It probably varied from area to area, city to city and on we didn't have internet and shyt where consensus was reached. And if you read The Source and stuff, he was clearly not the goat. He was a high caliber rapper, getting 3.5 and 4 mic review.
