That's not what his quote said. Failed reading comprehension
From the article

. He talked about his recovery from the virus, which is ongoing, at least in how his sense of smell hasn’t totally recovered. (“Smelling, I took that for granted too. It’s back now, it’s back at 80%, I’m not worried,” he said.)

About playing and competing.

.“I’m happy now. I’m in a good place, you know,” Gobert told reporters Friday. “And I’m happy that I get the joy back from playing basketball with my team and the competitiveness is back. I’m ready to try to go out there and try to win the championship. That’s the goal. And to be honest, after everything we’ve been through as a team and as human beings, it would be a great comeback.”
What part did i take out of context or fail to read corrrctly.

bruh these nikkas play a contact sport and already breaking bubble rules...dumb ass gobert still aint fully recovered yet and he got this shyt like in march...what most of these nba nikkas and ppl in here fail to understand that yea if the players get it they'll be ok because they're fit/healthy freaks of nature...but what about their kids/wives families etc ? and all these old ppl they're around ? but they dont matter right ?

They are putting their health on the line for their future livelihood. This was never as cut-n-dry as the narrative that most people want to believe. These players/coaches/execs haven't had their main stream of income for 4 months now. They have bills, take care of their entire families, in addition to some having businesses that allow other families to be supported. Once people saw there was no end in immediate sight, they had to decide to make decisions on how to continue some sort of revenue streams for themselves, and the future of the league. Of course, I'm not talking about the billion dollar owners, but every other player/GM/NBA exec that is employed. Anyone that is receiving income during this time, especially close to their full income, cannot judge the anyone for wanting the same.

If they are that fearful of the lives of their family, they would tell their family to stay home. The same goes for the coaches. And so far, not one coach that has had it, has died - across any sport. If the TBT can do it, it can happen. So you can deduce that Russy & Harden tested positive a week ago, when they didn't travel with the team. If they are asymptomatic, and they probably are, they have 1 week left before they can get to the bubble.

The NBA is handling this as good as we've seen done so far.

I remember when @BigMoneyGrip tried to tell me Warriors fans were wishing injury, sickness, and death on Rockets players :mjlol:

Hey, I don't want anyone to get hurt/sick/injured, I'm just hoping for another record setting meltdown by the Rockets...

:russ:

But seriously, no one should be hoping for someone to get hurt/sick. That's foul.
