Their division is loaded, but up for grabs since the Chiefs got worse. Chargers in particular loaded up and look poised to make a run for the division crown this year.
I think with Russ, they'll be able to consistently beat teams that they should beat, those games used to be a toss up. They have a defense that should be elite on paper, but has never been able to show if they are or not because they didn't have reliable QB play to keep them off the field and capitalize. I expect them to swap wins against the rest of their division. I'm expecting a year where they either barely make the playoffs or barely miss it.

Yea, Denver has talent.. But they can be good and still not make the playoffs, AFC is LOADED and their division is the strongest in football, the whole division has enough talent to win in playoffs..

Do I think a QB deserves to make 2x times more than the next player? No
It seems like the rest of the league is treating the Watson fully guaranteed contract as an outlier and not the new standard
They get paid based on value and impact.
If the next player shows that they can impact the game on the level of a QB, they'd be getting paid QB money
Aaron Donald actually gets paid more than the majority of the QBs in the league because of his impact
It'll take time. Kirk Cousins (and his situation) is why Watson pursued that, and now Lamar is pursuing that. Lamar's problem is a lack of an agent though, they trying to ho him
But I believe it'll become the new normal over time as more top players desire it, and then it'll trickle down to the rest of the QBs, and later the non-QBs
