In all honesty I don't even know why these reporterw ask these dudes these questions.
Because 1 they only care if these guys say something against the white majority grain so they can tear them apart with bull shyt hit pieces. If they give them a politicial answer they don't even acknowledge the comment past a tweet.
2 the media knows that the NFL is one of the most non progressive, conservative and has more racial undertones (watching the NFL at times is like watching the RNC or fox news) than any of the 4 major US sports leagues. Also no other major sports league outside of NASCAR does a tip of the hat to racist as much as the NFL.
You can hear the message every Sunday and throughout the season on how black athletes are described, how black QBs are treated, how their work ethic is questioned, how black coaches are treated and how their intelligence is questioned.
So on the real asking NFL players to stand up and make statements about black lives (on par with NBA players) is like asking black delegates for the Republican party or black Republican consultants to call out Trump on his racism.
