The division was as easy as it will ever be for Herbert and the Chargers still couldn’t make the playoffs.

Yeah herbert hasnt done a single thing to be seen as better than russ right now
fukked up thing is Chargers fans and the media got me disliking Herbert and he seems like a solid dude and a good young QB. They wanna gas this muhfukka up to ridiculous levels though and he hasn’t proven shyt. Lemme see how he handles the pressure of a playoff game before I start calling him the best young anything.

Feels surreal having Russell Wilson on the squad. I had wished for a long time that he was on my team but I didn’t think it was possible for Seattle to part with him and for him to agree to leave. One of my favorite QBs. Look forward to seeing him in orange and blue. Pass the peace, go Broncs! :wow:

Now all yall need to do is switch back to them early 90s unis :banderas:

Herbert had the most inflated and hollow stats last season. It’s a product of the chargers throwing a million times a game because their lack of defense forces the offense into shoot outs. The same shyt y’all knocked Stafford for in Detroit…keep that same energy. And all those stats have materialized into not a damn thing but fantasy football points

And Derek Carr had one nice season like 5 years ago…. :russ:

and honestly it wasn’t even that special

Herbert is Phillip Rivers 2. 0 the chargers are damn near the same team with Phillip not there anymore but let everyone keep riding Herbert nuts

To be fair, nobody could have imagined Russ would be this bad.

At this point, I'm convinced Seattle believed Geno was the better player and moved Russ as a result. Being able to cash in like they did was just icing on the cake.

I've thought (and posted) for years that the game had passed Carroll by. He's proving me wrong this season. The Seahawks have completely bought in on what they're doing.

It's interesting because you're far from the only person who posited the thought that the game had flown by Petey. So the question in retrospect is, what was the issue in years past where we questioned his coaching?

Part of it was the wrong OCs, sorry muhfukkas like Bevell, but letting cats like that run your offense lend to the notion that you don't understand how to adapt your offense to the modern NFL. These guys drafted like shyt on the O-line too, made it look like he didn't understand line talent...

This can always turn out another way but after 10 years together it's obvious Pete knew what he had in Russ, and ran offensive schemes he knew Russ could handle. The offense with Geno isn't really all that different schematically, which tells me Carroll and company saw signs of decline in Russ and knew they needed to get out from him before they bottomed out with him...

Obviously Carroll was already going into Canton but this season is probably his best coaching job, he's going in first ballot for sure now if he wasn't before!

I feel like it's somewhere in the middle.

I live out here so I've watched a lot of Seahawks games over the past seven years. Most of the time, Russ was running for his life whenever he had to drop back. Nobody else in the league could have survived the hits he had to take year after year.

They've also had a meh run game since Lynch retired. Penny's good but he can't stay healthy; Carson's had a couple really good years but he stays dinged up too. Pete scaled back the offense to be really conservative, even when Wilson airing it out was their best option. He strangled them in the playoffs a few times because he didn't let Wilson win the game and wanted to play it safe.

Kenneth Walker has made a big difference this season. He's a fukking bruiser and gets better as the game goes on. He can't be taken down by one guy and Wilson hadn't had that since Lynch. Seattle won their fourth straight today and it's coincided with Walker getting the bulk of the carries.

I don't think Russ is as bad as he's been this season. Hackett is clearly an unqualified hack who had no business getting a head coaching position. I need to see Wilson with a real coach again before I bury him.
