Pretty sure the Bears, Commanders, Patriots, or Steelers will take Russell Wilson in. Wilson wasn't his best in Denver, but he has shown enough this season to attract another team for short term play. What's up with Wilson that a lot of people on this own teams tend to not like dude? Both in Seattle and Denver? I don't think the Capt. Save-a-Hoing with Ciara would do that much damage, would it? :picard:
Bears have zero use for him. Not only is Fields worth more to develop, but they have the first pick and will take a qb.

Russ or Fields will be a Falcon or Steeler next year

Vikings would be the best spot. Jefferson, Addison, and Hockenson will make it easy for him to sit back and deliver the football.

They won't be in position to draft a QB so he should get a good two seasons there.

I get that they don't that injury guarantee to kick in but you're in the playoff hunt and won't have a high enough pick to draft a QB. I'd just play Russ. This goes left and Payton will be on the hot seat next year.

If they were going to go after Russ, then they'd be better off running it back with Kurt especially with how he performed last year.

I’d say Russ is going to one of the following places.

Pittsburgh
Atlanta
Washington, DC
New England
Las Vegas

Kirk's contract is done. If they wanted him they probably would've extended him by now. I think they go their separate ways.

They move on to another QB it should be Russ as he gives them another dynamic with his running ability. They can draft a guy like Penix either in the 2nd round or move up to the end of the first. He can sit behind Russ for a year or 2 depending on how he's playing.

Patriots game - sean payton loss

Detroit game - payton loss with not challenging but get mad at russ

Redskin game - payton fault

Miami Game - payton loss

Russ lose the jets game and somewhat the texans game, but those games goes on payton as well, when dude team is losing he still calling run on first and second down in the 4th quarter and then wants to call a run and shoot offense with 6 minutes left in games
Russ aint lose the Jets game . The Jets defense was just on one that game

Cousins is recovering from an Achilles tear.

Jefferson is lobbying for him to return.

Russ isn't the mobile QB that he used to be though. You haven't been watching Bronco's games if you think that's the case.

People keep saying what Russ was instead of what he is now. He isn't an upgrade over Cousins at this point in his career and I'm sure a lot of teams would make that important point as well.

Pete and Seattle knew exactly what they were doing when they let him walk instead of paying his asking price.

I think two things can be true :

1) Russ was never gonna be exactly what Payton wants or live up to the trade/contract in Denver
2) He would be a godsend for a handful of teams like Atlanta or Pittsburgh who have tons of talent rotting on offense right now
This was the exact argument made when Denver signed him.

Do you believe the Steelers or Falcons are a 35 year old Russell Wilson away from winning a SB?

If not why are you putting stress on your cap situation to sign him. He’s not going to be cheap. You literally have to make the team worse to afford to bring him in. If he doesn’t put you over the hump, what are you ACTUALLY doing?

So they just wanna kick him off the team huh???:dwillhuh: might as well cut him his check and send him the fukk home then...:beli:
Once they cut or trade him, it’s a $85M dead cap.

Assuming they designate as post-June 1, the cap hit for Russ will be $35M in 2024 and almost $50M in 2025.
