Do you know what this shyt means?

President Assad will have more advanced weaponry along with the ability to push back insurgents who are the fighting the government forses for the past five years.

Despite major military setbacks, Assad's forces will now have state of the art training from Russia to help them counter the insurgents propted up by Western powers.

how much longer can russia sustain with oil where its at?
Western sanctions allow them to accelerate the creation of alternatives to the western controlled financial structure and allow a restructuring of the economy away from the colonial decline it was experiencing.
Russia has the stomach for this battle and the experience and it has proven true.

The Ruble has stabilized and the government did not waste its hard currency trying to prop up the ruble, but let it slide.
They even raised interest rates sharply to 17% as a surprise stab in the back for the speculators.

very smart...
The eurasionists have used the sanctions to finally finish off the 5th column "liberals"

Actually, I don't know why Russia is helping out President Assad in Syria. Doesn't make any sense to me, unless he's promising something crazy like free codes to the bang bros website.
There's gotta be some I scratch your back, you scratch mine. Syria seems to be gaining from this, but what does Russia get from it. Is this a truly humanitarian operation? Russia is used to dealing with guerrilla warfare, back when they were in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban (of all groups).
Why are they trying to push back IS for the first time?
This might be the start of WWIII.

Moscow has supported the Assad regime for 40+ years.

Syria is the only Arab state that Moscow has under its influence. They have a sea base on the Mediterranean.

And Putin had made it clear he will not allow a Libya style no fly zone occur to topple Bashar.

The Iran deal is huge for Russia.

Moscow was helping Tehran with the nuclear program. The Chinese will now buy their oil and oil prices might fall further.

Iran busted the sanctions by trading in mutual currencies and gold. Russia and China have started this and have formed a big Eurasian alliance to set the stage to challenge the existing financial system.

China is cautious than Russia. But Putin has basically sidelined the pro Western oligarchs of the 1990s when Yeltsin sold the country off.

This is high time for them to diversify away from being reliant on oil sales..

The next couple of years should be interesting for Russia. I think Russia is planning to slowly rebuild the soviet union and the US and her allies knows this. That's why they're intent on strengthening NATO. Imagine after 50 years, if Russia can pull it off, there would 3 competing global hegemon.
