Interesting, but given that the figure you cited was the median - that might point towards high income inequality in Syria. Perhaps more so than Russia, and Russia ain't Denmark neither!

Werd Russians won't stand for it. But the refugees themselves don't want to go there, they would have a much better standard of living in the West. This is gonna play out in the next 20 years, I'm betting a 3 way Civil War with Whites, Blacks, and Arabs.

Meanwhile in America, your going to have internal conflicts that will cause a lot of destruction.
In such situation there already is in place organized colums of black folks across the country that will be able to defend themselves particularly in the south as well as the east coast, but the Black folks on the west coast are vastly outnumbered.

What's the point of the refugees (I really hate that word for some reason) coming back home when Assad himself really ain't too keen on his own people who go against his regime?
Do you honestly think Syria poses any kind of challenge to Israel? The Israelis smashed Syria in 73, the Israelis where 30 km from Damascus and that was when Syria was actually strong. The Arabs decided to help Syria but Assad's father 'cut a deal'.
Iran's support for Syria has been massive so far, but to no avail, even in the presidential palace Assad's advisers are Iranian the Iranians have been training, equipping as supplying his army the whole time. Russia been supporting Assad and the only reason they stepping it up now is because the Syrian Army only controls 25% of Syria and his Army and Regime are on the verge of collapse. I don't think I recall anyone coming back from this type of situation.
