A hell indeed. Most of these poor or corrupt countries give no fukk about human rights, democracy and other things synonymous with first world countries. And the past 20 years show us that first world bubble does not understand that concept at all.

because people don't realize the most influential people at the top (the elite) are clever sociopaths and psychopaths
it goes even deeper than that IMO but I won't get into here
once you understand the pathology of these type of people, you understand why even though the world isn't perfect, these people make it as imperfect as possible for themselves
all of our actions have an effect on everything else and the more power/influential you are, the more effect you have
