You gotta follow what's been happening for the last 15 years or so. It's basically a land battle where Russia is holding onto it's last partner in the middle east. If Syria falls, all Russia will have left is Iran and a flakey China. If they lose Syria then Saudi Arabia/UAE will be able to build a pipeline directly through Syria. I think that cuts off Russia's stranglehold over most of Europe with natural gas or oil? It's basically been a world war going on but confined to areas of the world that the news finds ways to make you think are already horrible prior to any war type activity. Nearly all of these places, including Iraq, Ukraine, Syria, Libya were peaceful and doing good prior to any of this mess.

You're already seeing how it works. Random shootings in crowded places...Next is more defined attacks with people that aren't suicidal and walk away without being caught.
