The case had no "merit" to begin with; if it did, they wouldn't have made such a critical error.
The takeaway from all this: MAGA's legal experts are much more adept at avoiding legal scrutiny than they are at issuing it.
Trump attorneys could teach a masterclass on "Deny, Deflect, Project, and Change the Narrative", but are uniquely incompetent when it comes to filing lawsuits, criminal prosecutions and investigations.

Some of them, yeah. Trust me I'm not trying to defend them.
I'm just saying that there's a pattern of them having lopsided competence. These fools can't put together a coherent indictment or investigation to save their lives, but when they're the ones responding to indictments, they're the experts of gaming the system and running out the clock.
Even if they go to jail it's not nearly for long enough (even if they're not pardoned.)
