The people still have to be willing to fight. Afghanistan had 80 billion worth of weapons and still rolled over for the Taliban. You can never replace morale.
Ukrainians are willing to fight so it makes it easier for America.

I mean the wars in Europe before WW1 leading to WW2 meant there was constant military advances and invention with experience.

There hasn’t been a major non-proxy war in 70 years. Everyone except American has been playing theoretical war games with very little actual experience.
