this is a very smart and theres the added incentive of using this to later being able to easily become an EU citizen in decade or so. some soldiers in 3rd world countries who already have battlefield experience will defineitely take them up on that offer.
i must truly underestimate how shyt some places are if people are willing to risk fighting in a war for ukraine or russia in exchange for fukking citizenship. i mean damn. i wouldn't even fight in a hot war for US citizenship.
we have a similar program. some dead u.s soldiers got citizenship post-posthumously. i think their family members got citizenship too.
