Never forget Obama rolled out the red carpet and begged her to retire. All the RBG memes, the "Notorious RBG" etc stuff was specifically created to show appreciation for her in hopes that she'd step aside. Instead she felt insulted at the mere idea of a (black) man telling her what to do, and decided to wait for Hillary to replace her. Well we all see how that turned out.
Not only that, the sheer disregard she displayed for her own fukking health by officiating a wedding during a pandemic, while having multiple health issues. People want to be emotional or try to attack Obama but at the end of the day, Roe v Wade would still exist if she had retired. Roberts clearly wanted some type of compromise and didn't have a majority for it. At that point we'd just be waiting for Clarence Thomas to get out the paint in order to return to a liberal majority.

If he gets another far right judge in then it wont matter if he wins or not.
Any progressive issues that are brought before the supreme court would automatically be shot down for the next 20 years. All tangibles specifically for black people would be laughed out the room.
