I didn't know there were people claiming her was an all time great.

Why is everybody coming out the blue with ransom shots at him?

What have we seen so far that would change that?
I don't think much needs to be changed, he is a great QB coming off of a bad season

He always falls off a cliff in the 2nd half of the season and most of Seattles issues were on him as well.
Always is a stretch, and yes, he had a bad year for sure. This year he wasnt really good.

It’s more to being a great QB than having good stats and numbers.
Agreed, and he's a proven winner and leader of men right?

How is this even a discussion? He spent almost half his career being babied by LOB and Marshawn. The defense won that superbowl. As soon as they put it on Russ shoulders to get a super bowl win what happened? He hasn't been back since either.

Graduated from a game manager to a top tier modern qb. But all time great? Nah.

Won an MVP :ld:

Superbowl MVP :ld:

You know what a defining moment or lack thereof means, so don't sit here and pretend otherwise :mjlol:

Cam will be always remembered for not going for that fumble in the Superbowl. You can spin it however you want, but it's not going to change that. Just like people bring up the Seahawks not letting Marshawn run it in for that TD and letting Russ pass instead.

People don't forget those type of moments.

Is that the first thing someone brings up when they mention Cam and his career? No.
Is it one of the things that eventually gets mentioned yes.
Thats why I say we have different definitions.
And MVPs are stupid and biased so intelligent people don't put too much weight into that.

So what? He was saying the basis of a great QB is winning a Super Bowl, and Rodgers has only been to one.
the list of QBs that have made the Super Bowl multiple times is probably not very long and Id imagine many of them weren't even elite QBs but just had great teams around them

I dont know if its the best way to determine greatness

The fact that we are even having this convo tells me it’s time for Russ to move on. Seattle has not really done Russ any favors with these rosters they have rolled out in the past few years

You say that yet nikkas use MVPs as the basis of their arguments on this site on a daily basis :mjlol:

That's a top 3 moment in his career based sorely on the stage of where it happened. You're bugging if you sit here and say otherwise. It'd be one thing if he had another Superbowl after that to mask it, but he shyt the bed the one time that he was there. Of course people will remember that.

Neither is Aaron Rodgers though. Probably only 5 all time great QBs by this logic
The bolded is key. I’m not the one arguing that Super Bowl rings are the determining factor of greatness. That was Ryan Clark

Did I say folks won't remember it? No.
I said it wasn't THE defining moment of his career.
Like I said we got 2 definitions of defining moment.

It's more easier than you think. He will move up on the list once his career is all said and done, but as of right now he's not in the top 15. Top 20, yes. Top 15 no.
I'd add Steve Young to that list as well

You could make the argument that it was based on when and where it happened. That Superbowl win could and would have completely changed the narrative about his legacy and the narrative that QBs can't win Superbowls.

People don't remember shyt about Seattle's and the LOB Superbowl win, but they sure as hell remember what happened in not letting Marshawn run it in for the TD and what happened after. It was a defining moment that completely fukked up the team chemistry and they were never the same again.
