When you make it about what someone is lacking instead of how you might see things differently having played in the league you're going to get pushback.Saying thats the non player in you isnt even disrespectful btw. I think it's cause they don't care about what people say based on their former occupation but their current one. I.e. they see being an athlete does not necessarily make you a great analyst. It ranges from the worst takes (see disgruntled old heads) to great takes only an athlete could provide.
Just like coaching (or gm's for that matter). Some great players were ass, some bench warmers became great, some who never played became great etc.

And some of this shyt he didn't need to walk back like the RG3 shyt, he let a narrative reframe what he said and then he walks it back.
I don't know what he can really do to fix this because everything he says with confidence or sincerity he ends up feeling some heat and backtracking etc.
