Coogler gotta leave the big budget shyt where Disney makes him water shyt down alone... He's too good to be doing that. This is what cinema is supposed to be. Stick with WB and whoever will let him go all out... :wow:
It doesn't hurt to be in a position to do both.

Vampires needing to be invited into an occupant’s house or dwelling is a very old and common trope in vampire movies and stories. They didn’t need to explain this IMO.
Yeah, this was a common trope in vampire films before the 00s. Blade, Twilight and Underworld sort of changed how vampires were depicted.
But watch older vampire films like Lost Boys, and they had to be invited inside.

:mjlol: never fails. late to the party ass reviews always run counter the narrative.

Take any movie that receives great reviews upon release or during the first week, then read a review that comes out a month later. The month later ones are always contrarian. I suspect its because these people never were interested in the movie anyway but eventually caved to the hype. Also think its partly who watched early and took too much time to think on it and nitpick. either or, but i'm not 100% sure yet. all i know is it never fails. Why i only pay attention to review done during the 1 week of release.

Movie started off very good, and about 60% into it got dumb with them against the vampires. Disappointing.
Man my favorite genre is horror, but I’m not picky. I love slashers and watch low budget ones even, if the story or gore is cool. But I couldn’t get into it either. Loved the build up, but then it got dumb in a way that wasn’t entertaining to me. And it was the script ( not the actors). But very happy for they success of course and I would like to see the director give it another shot
