It doesn't mean black European ancestors. It is about the mixture in Brazil
It does mean black European ancestors and the link you posted has nothing to do with your argument?

This is a painting from the 1500s of Portugal (who colonized Brazil) Notice how about 50% of the people are black.

Black folks weren't the majority or half the population of Portugal.

I never said 50% of the population of Portugal was black

Do the links you posted have a purpose?

Yes, I think you have the wrong understanding on Africans in Europe. I believe you were the same person I had a back and forth with about King James and blacks

I wouldnt laugh at your own ignorance :mjlol:

I’m not confusing black with melanated because they’re synonymous terms.

All indigenous people are descendants from Africa. We didn’t just spawn randomly on this planet guy :mjlol:

1. Cheddar man is not a white man (obviously)
nor is that what white people looked like

2. Phenotypically white people existed at the same time as cheddar man and modern whites are not descendants of cheddar man.

3. Cheddar man and the people that looked like him were replaced by indo-Europeans from which modern whites descended.

4. As a bonus, that is not what cheddar man looked like. All geneticists know is he had blue eyes and black skin. The facial features and hair were completely made up by Eurocentric artists. He most likely looked like modern Africans, just with blue eyes.

Cheddar man is an indigenous European who had dark skin because his lineage originated in Africa.

The original point is that melanated people have always been in europe and their presence didn’t start with slavery. For example, Brazilian singer Neguinho da Beija-Flor is 67% European genetically which was shocking to him as he doesn’t even have a white grandparent. His ancestors were simply black Europeans. I know that’s a hard concept for y'all to grasp but as someone who is about to graduate with a doctorate level degree in a related field, anthropology and genetics are 2 of the most racist “scientific” fields there are. I’m just trying to clarify a lot of misinformation. :yeshrug:

TLDR: European DNA does not mean your ancestors are white. You can have just as many black European ancestors as white.

If yes, then can you explain how the links are related to your post?

No, I understand the history of blacks in Europe. I think you (like a lot of people) are having a hard time accepting a narrative that isn’t Eurocentric because that’s all you’ve been taught.

It’s frustrating because whenever a black person tries to give black people any information that contradicts prevailing Eurocentric narratives, their first reaction is to reject it. The second reaction is to quickly find a Eurocentric source that refutes what you told them and they just accept the Eurocentric narrative at face value. :snoop:

Africans traveled to or were enslaved in Europe. They weren't the ruling class. The DNA test for Neguinho da Beija-Flor would separate the African and European ancestry even if it was connected to an African that was living in Portugal.

Lmao @ using grimaldi man.and jacobins to explain your Irish connection

Let me tell you this there was no such thing as a black slave until the Irish indentured servants in Barbados decided that they were MORE human than imported blacks and as a result a sub human category for black people was created

I.E
Slave!

It doesn't come from the word slavik.

Can't believe dudes is really on here talking bout they eat corn beef and potatoes so their great great grandaddy must be a Paddy 🤣😩🙃😌
