Ryan Coogler's Sinners is currently having one of the craziest 2nd weekend box office total in film history (Brehs could contribute if they go see it)

Avatar was a little different tho (for obvious reasons) because it came out a few days before Christmas. These small drops or gains usually only happen between Christmas and New Year's when people off of work and outta school.

Anyway Sinners made $45 million this weekend and only down 6%. Crazy.

As mentioned Estimates are reporting 45 Million, 6.3% drop which would be a record for Non-Holiday 2nd Weekend topping "Twister" number of 9.7%. It's #1 for R-Rated All Time. It's Top 4 when you include Holiday 2nd Weekends. I think the number is going to go up to 46 or 47 Million once the "Actuals" are reported on Monday. There are sellouts all over the Country. The Bottom line is as I said this is historical and unheard of especially for an R-Rated film. Mind you it did this with "Minecraft" still selling well.

Ben Affleck dropping a sequel to "Accountant 2" (Which had the same budget as Sinners but made way less but you won't see Hollywood talking about it like they did Sinners last week). Also "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" broke records for a re-release making over 25 Million and 42 Million Worldwide. That movie is 20 years old and everyone and their momma has it on DVD. Yet "Sinners" dominated all that. "Thunderbolts" drops next week so it will probably lose but I still expect a great hold because honestly they are Superhero team not many people even know. Hopefully over 30 Million next weekend.

Will have to go again..
Went to the nearest cinema due to loss of time and the projector or whatever they use was really bad and blurry.
Will have to go again to another theater and see this in proper quality, was thoroughly entertained.
