Ryan Gosling is a good actor; he just does some really mediocre movies. I think Blue Valentine was the only one I thoroughly enjoyed and didn't have any problems with.

but ever since he hit the mainstream with drive, he been playing the same stoic nikka in every movie. its making me mad..

if you didn't know that there was only a small difference between a cardboard cutout and the real keanu reeves trying to act from the very first scene you saw him where he didn't play a time traveling stoner high school kid....

ryan gosling is a pretty good but not great actor who has done bad movies, good movies, and great movies

keanu is a caveman compared to him

Ummm I mean it was done very naturally and done well portraying the awkwardness of the character ...but degree of difficulty I'm sure there had to be a better example

I don't think Gosling is a bad actor and if I were to compare him to someone it would be Colin Farrell. They are both good actors who give the ladies wet panties and who Hollywood tried to push as the next big leading man but neither guy has been able to transfer all of that into being bankable at the box office.

He's a lot like Farrell in that he's been a lot better in indie flicks and supporting roles than the star in a mainstream movie.

And not even Daniel Day Lewis could've saved Gangster Squad; the script was awful.
