Ryan Leslie carries himself like a talented artist in the hiphop/r&b music industry, which he is. Damn near ever artist talks about how they're the best and how they live so much better than the average man. I think the fact that he's highly intelligent makes people want to tear him down and dismiss him as a corny nerd.

Has nothing to do with his intelligence, most people don't know he's a teen Harvard grad.

It has everything to do with the way he carries himself. Within five minutes of seeing him, most would call him corny. He's not good at faking the funk, he needs to give that up.

naw, he can't because he ain't a good music artist. dude can't sing, rap or for that matter produce shyt. it's like the whole damn music world is basically taken over by people who have little to no musical talent that simply got into the music industry because their parents told them that "they could be anything when they grew up". if you can't sing and know it too, why try to be a singer? i would much rather hear someone that can REALLY sing than someone who uses autotune because they want to be a singer and are that determined to sing even when they know they can't without that shyt. fukkers think because they were able to get lucky to produce a few wack ass records and write some songs for whoever that they themselves can be a music artist. this is why we end up with bad music and half assed artists like ryan leslie and the dream. it's basically them being delusional off of their narcissism which is as clear as day.

Somehow me claiming most people don't know his life story is out of the realm of believability, since I don't "know" what everyone knows, yet you just accept the notion that most do know his backstory AND use it against him in labeling him corny...how could he "know" this?

Nah, something about his demeanour makes it not believable. When Jay talks about money and cars etc you believe him but Ryan leslie it sounds fake. No doubt he has money and he is intelligent but this angle he's going on the new album talking about himself and money on damn near every track is a damn shame.

I'm pretty sure you can't touch the women he touches(super models) without having long paper or being extremely attractive in their eyes. I'd put my money on the former. As far as the content of his new album, sounds on par with most rap albums. I'm sure Ryan could rhyme with a little more common sense if he wanted to.

I knew about Harvard and I'm just a casual fan of his, I viewed a few of his videos just now and it's believable to me; except the one where he has secret service level security nikka was tripping there but for the most part; I wouldn't doubt his life is something like that. He makes money behind the scenes and I'd bet that he invests wisely

He's still talented and intelligent. I met him before and he isn't humble at all. I can't hate on him because at the end of the day he DID graduate Harvard in 3 years at age 19.

His new music is just bragging about money, cars, and women now. His Ryan Leslie album is still a classic. His production is astounding.

Out of the Blue and IRINA are my shyt. My girl Cassie ethered him to the point of no return. BTW Cassie is a sweetheart.
