I don't think most things on the "news" deserve attention. Just an opinion, but when I see something like this on my CBS feed all morning, while there are real issues to consider out there, it's pathetic. News stations want ratings and we give it to them because they give us stupid subjects that don't take real thought, meaning anybody can engage with the story, versus something that takes genuine analysis and could solve a real world problem.
Ryan Lochte is a fukking douchebag. There. Story over. Does not affect my life in the slightest. Lots of other things getting zero coverage do.
He's probably gotten more coverage than most innocent black men killed by police, no?

After they won the 4x100, they were clowning in front of the cameras. Dancing, mugging, taking their shirts off, preening, etc. Just being a$$holes, but it wasnt serious at all. The cameras followed them around. And they had just won the gold medal.
The media got really indignant and self righteous and shytted on all of them. Called them "ugly Americans," and made an example out of them. Forced Maurice Greene to apologize on their behalf, etc. It was shocking.
