Because QB talent in the NFL is in a drought and they know there won't be a legit Franchise QB in the next 2 drafts at minimum. The Dolphins essentially banked on his youth and athleticism.

His biggest weaknes is the fact that he holds the ball too long and tends to take sacks. Our bad O-Lines during his tenure hasnt helped either. Sure he doesnt have an accurate deep ball neighter did McNabb if if i recall. Correct me on that if im wrong
