Sheamus and ADR are capable of putting together great matches when paired with the right guy. ADR always put on a solid match, but his character is just bland. Sheamus & Barrett were putting on really great matches when they were paired together. Ryback isn't anywhere near where those two guys are in the ring. I don't think anyone can name one memorable Ryback match.

I think there's ONE chance to salvage him with a little solo run and that's to have him finally get a piece of Reigns for all of those triple powerbombs or to go around picking individual Shield members off, but they're so over right now that he's bound to get the bushes again. Skip just can't win.

I read a pretty damn good idea on another board. Basically have Ryback be the one stepping up to Rusev after Swagger gets tossed to the bushes. Have Ryback be like Lex Luger against Yoko or some shyt and have people going nuts chanting USA and Feed Me More again. I mean, imagine Lana cutting an anti US promo for the nth time and how not even a "Real American" can beat her russian beast and then all of a sudden FEED ME MORE sounds and the crowd goes

Have Ryback end Rusev's streak and start a legit big feud between the two.

Exactly, nobody even wanted Ryback challenging for the title at the time. They just hot shotted him for no good reason.

The only thing preventing him now is the fact that Axel didn't stay afloat with his fast push either, so now they're together in tag team purgatory. They're heel, but not the most OVER heel team (Wyatts) and if you split them up, you've got nothing for Axel (who can work) to do for real. They'll probably end up feeding Rusev to Reigns instead.

And I agree with you, it's highly unlikely they'd just split RybAxel out of nowhere (and Rusev is bound to be fed to either Reigns or Cena).

But Axel is such a complete bust that having him turning with Ryback could give him another chance to find a spot on the card.

He was over though and made it work with the right booking. Roman Reigns is average in every aspect but his look and is over big right now, if they booked him like Ryback he wouldn't be anything.
