I agree with what you're saying but at the same time, I don't think they are worried about us too much because they gotta deal with the same shyt where theyre at too. You must have forgot that they have like race riots out there in London, Paris, and other international cities because of racism, institutional discrimination, and police brutality.

And once again, calling black people racial slurs to say that they are sellouts is selling out. If you had any self respect , you wouldn't use that word because it shows how you view yourself.

Make terrible beats breh

@Billy Ocean :sas2:

:dead:

I think y'all going a lil hard on RZA for that beat video. Maybe he was just showing how shyt worked, and he couldn't use copyrighted sounds like samples to demonstrate. not like he was 'crafting a beat'. The title is misleading. At least I hope so :russ:

Well when you say sellout/c00n stuff:francis:

And this is even worse for someone like RZA. Wu tang had nikkas dressing all types of crazy. Remember the ski goggles :heh:

He almost singlehanded inspired an entire generation of urban wear. Now he gone get on tv with the white folks and condemn the new generation for their fashion choices.:stopitslime:

That's the very definition of a sellout :smh:
And that's what makes this matter so utterly disappointing and especially hypocritical & condescending coming from RZA.

I don't agree with RZA statements about wearing suits, but some of what he said does hold validity. People just blew it way out of proportion. I don't think he was attempting to justify police brutality. He was criticizing how we dress and how it affects how they perceive us. We've seen and heard these statements before. It's become a tired critique at this point. Personally, I think the person who judges another by how they dress is just as bad as a racist because it's still prejudice. You're prejudging someone based on preconceived notions of how they look. Someone wearing a suit could be the grimiest gangsters ever (i.e. John Gotti and other mobsters and even cutthroat politicians and businessmen). Someone wearing a hoodie could be an intelligent, upstanding citizen, but because he's Black, he gets viewed as a thug and people start pulling in purses and tense up. Clothes don't make the person. It's not going to stop someone from stereotyping or doing harm to you. If a racist hates you, it has nothing to do with the clothes you are wearing and everything to do with the skin you were born in.

In terms of "all lives matter", I think we intellectually know this, but this isn't how everyone is treated. "All lives matter" basically reiterates "we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal". That is a true statement, but it is a grand deception, as all deception is rooted in some truth. It's deceptive because we're all created equal, but are we TREATED equally. I don't necessarily agree with the "Black Lives Matter" statements either because it's also something that Republicans and racists have used to cause even more division by vilifying it saying that it's empowering militants. HELLO, we are being killed police officers for nothing. We have no other defense besides protesting and attempting to defend ourselves. That's not being militant, it's survival.
