The year 3030

Banks and Steelz - a musical collaboration between Wu Tang Clan's RZA and Interpol's Paul Banks sat down with Hard Knock Tv's Nick Huff Barili for an in-depth interview. In part 2 of the conversation RZA and Paul share how Elton John, Leonard Cohen and John Frusciante inspired him. As the conversation progresses both artists recall their memories of Prince, David Bowie and Phife Dawg from Tribe Called Quest. Part two takes us back to Paul's childhood and how he was introduced to hip hop through N.W.A and later was influence by Deltron 3030 and Outkast's Stankonia. Much more to come!

:ahh:

rep when we get it back.

Crazy how Paul put RZA onto 3030. Surprised Paul fukked w/ Hip-Hop like that

Speakin of Paul...A Prince Among Thieves is another all time classic...love watching interviews like this because it reminds me of all the dope music i've forgotten about...i got another playlist to make :wow:

edit: it also makes sense for Paul to like 3030, 3030 and APAT are both conceptual albums...we need to bring back concept albums regardless if its main stream or underground
