This better be done just to wash away the stain that was A Better Tomorrow. Otherwise no more Wu-Tang albums

A Better Tomorrow isn't THAT bad.

Ghost has always been at the helm of Wu albums except for the last one. The core is RZA, Ghost, Power & Divine. Ghost has an ear, but can he manage this crop? Honestly only RZA can do that. If it's a Wu album, it shouldn't sound like a Ghost album and it has to include U-God, GZA, Masta Killa, Deck as well. Those people don't sound right over everyone's beats, so finding the right combos is where the difficulty lies. Say what you want about RZA, but the Clan has never sounded wack over any beat that RZA did. Whether or not you liked the beat is irrelevant, but they all managed to flow over it and weren't drowned out.

I'm not sure I trust Ghost's ear 100%. As long as he stays away from that BadBadNotGood/Adrian Yonge shyt and keeps it more on that banging soul shyt, then we'll be feastin

This is the best beat Ghost has rhymed on in a few years at least

100 dollars for the Floyd fight. He better knock the nikka out tonight. If not, I'm gonna take flight. I paid the cable nikka, you gonna pay the lights. :mjlol:

I don't care who they use as long as the beat is fire and has some atmosphere. True Master would be nice if he has heat (That Olympus beat he gave Rae a few years ago :banderas:)

No Scram Jones, Alchemist, Kanye and other C-listers. No more stale Dilla beats (love Dilla but we've heard all his best work by now)

I'd even experiment with a little trap but not the shytty disposable stuff like 99% of the genre. "Serve The Base" >

There isn't one consistently fantastic producer out right now so they'll have to do a lot of digging through lots of submissions hoping for a surprise banger.

Ghost been on nothing but cheap ass bargain basement beats and lame ass bar band shyt for close to a decade now.

Let's not pretend this is the early 2000s Ghost. His shyts been sounding like D-Block mixtapes and off brand Roots throwaways for a minute.

Problem isn't even production with the last couple of Wu albums, it's the fact none of these guys have chemistry anymore. Verses are getting e-mailed to eachother, and even when they're in the studio together it's about the only time they see eachother. Everyone has families and other commitments. There's no real unity or cohesion. So even if they do get some hard ass 4th Disciple beats from the vault this shyt will still sound disjointed and lacking in purpose.

Ghost should be able to commandeer a very dope Wu group album. He's the only member that has an extensive history of putting out quality material and I don't see how this would be any different. I read in an interview with him about a few months ago where he implied that he doesn't have the intention of having too many guest features on this and i'm really glad about that because Wu don't need guest features. There's 9-10 capable MCs on the group. All they need is a lil proper guidance, some skits and dope beats.

:salute:

You'll get the pretend-fans mad though, especially since your comments are all facts

This is what I think the biggest problem is. There are no skits. A clip of them arguing before and after Reunion, would've been perfect. They don't even seem like a unit anymore. I think to an extent, the chemistry is so natural that it will be there in some form, but you can always tell when someone comes uninspired with a verse.
