He definitely should have stayed anonymous until this was all over. The video is undeniable. Going on TV and telling your side when you're a key witness only helps the defense team. The same thing happened in the MB case and it allowed the defense to fully craft their version of the events.

I do believe it's not smart to run but the situation could've been handled better. I want to know. Where did the other cop come from? Couldn't he have apprehended the guy if he was running towards him? Or was he elsewhere and came as backup after? Is that the cops partner? If I'm a cop and my partner is a couple hundred feet away and the suspect gets away, I'm radioing him and saying, hey the suspects getting away, heading in your direction, so he can stop him if I can't. Not like the guy was a vigilante or killer. I don't know why he was stopped or how they even got there in the first place. I just think there needs to be better training. But I doubt that'll help considering the video that buddy posted of the guy getting shot while being arrested.
