I still don't see how that will help the cop. If he shot him right there during the struggle than yeah he has a case to get off. But he watched a man run away at very slow speeds, had time to set up, aim and shoot at his back 8 times. I really don't see him getting off.

The case will be centered around what happen when he started to run, that's it. Nothing that happen before hand matters. The cops life wasn't in danger when the guy was running from him. Thats why this video is soooooooooooo important. There is no reasonable doubt. The case starts when he ran.

Exactly. If they had a struggle and the guy happened to get shot during it...he wouldn't be charged with murder. He ran away. He got shot in the back, feet away from the cop. The cop then planted evidence on him. That SHOULD be a wrap, but we live in a world where people are more than willing to justify the death of a black or Hispanic man over the slightest shyt.

Obviously there was a struggle, I see no reason to lie about that. But nowhere in that video does it show a police officer shooting BECAUSE he feared for his life. Maybe he feared for his life during the initial struggle, I'll give him that. But afterwards? Nah.

the guy who filmed the video is a witness who will surely be put on stand to testify about what he saw prior to recording, and that was some sort of altercation, the video starts when he ran but the defense attorneys will center on the events (scuffle) leading up to the flight from officer.

Yeah I'm I mean I read stories about white people shooting at cops, then being taken into custody injury free. Yet an unarmed black person somehow poses some magically threat.....

Shout out to him for filming the situation and sending it to the family, but I don't think it was the right move to do the interview and reveal to the public who he is, for safety reasons. Hopefully nothing happens to him.

I honestly think he's going to plea to something( 30 years is better than life ). Didn't the first defense attorney quit after seeing the tape? He already lost his job and was charged pretty quickly, no if we should charge him..etc

that attorney quit based on the video alone, there are plenty vicious attorneys who don't mind taking the case especially with the revelation by the witness of there being a struggle prior to the shoot.
