Probably Cam's best album...."That's Me" and 'Let Me Know" were those tracks I read about in the Source and had to get friends to burn on a cd for me, never heard them before, and it was just grimy as fukk. I remember when he had the quotable in The Source for "That's Me", around 2000. I copped the retail that year, around the time "The Understanding" came out. "What Means the World" was a pretty big single, that even had radio play out in San Diego, I spent the whole summer listening to the leaked records in my walkman LOL. Classic.

Santana on 'Double Up' is his best verse to me.

it was dope for its time, but yea some of the beats were dated after a few years. Digga Branch was kind of like Dame Grease and Swizz in the late 90's (not including Its Dark). hot atm but didnt quite age like DJ Scratch, EZ Elpee or Ty Fyffe productions did from the same era

Movin Weight /Where Im From/Violence tho :whew:

Whoa...i'll give you Swizz, but i'm not gonna put Digga up there with Grease.
At the time, Grease could do no wrong imo...

...which is why I couldn't believe it when I listened to SDE then read the booklet and saw Grease did "My Hood"
and why like "Damn, even GREASE laid an egg on this mugg??"

...the beats.

Damn, those beats was not the bomb. Cam was comin' wit' heat, but they should've used somebody besides Digga as the main producer.

And on the real, that's kinda always been Cam's Achilles' Heel:
He thinks he's tight enough to where he can skimp on the technicals - he puts a lot of baking soda
in his musical dope.

Just a random thought.
album could have been trimmed down. He got it right on Come home with me though

Bruh...imma confess something:

I haven't listen to Come Home With Me in its entirety to this day.

1. I was still mad about SDE
2. At that point, my usual standard was "I gotta like at least 3 songs off it before I cop..."

"Oh Boy" was cool, and the redux of "Ambitionz" with Daz was cool - but I wasn't fuccin' wit "Hey Ma" AT ALL,
and "Welcome To New York City" ain't some chit that's up my alley - so this was one of the albums that got left
by the wayside.

I Just Wanna and On Fire Tonight are underrated cuts to me.
