Not really, the fact that Russ pushes the ball will help Blake. When CP3 stops the fast break and stands there dribbling and Blake is staring at him waiting for what he's going to do, that doesn't play to Blake's strengths. Blake is athletic as hell, and so is Russ, so if he can push the ball he can get it to Blake quickly and they can end up maximizing their athletic advantage and get those fast break points, and Blake will get more touches.
The Thunder will benefit because CP3 will get that ball to KD more than Russ, and he can also score when need be.
Few counterpoints I'd like to make.
First off, your whole argument is predicated on what will "help Blake" or playing to "blakes strengths" and not what will "help the Clippers" like my post said.
Clippers are already 2nd in the league in fast break points, you make it sound like CP3 is severely hindering their fast break opportunities, which isnt true.
You talk about Blakes strengths being the fast break....if you watch him often this season, or even more so when CP3 was out, you'd see the reason he's having such a great season this year is because he's playing with the ball in his hands a lot more, and not just trying to eat off fast break points. His overall game is more well rounded. The team this year is built for playoff success....not padding stats for Blake Griffin.
Blake Griffin would certainly not get "more touches" with Russ running point instead of CP3 I dunno how you can come to that conclusion. Unless you're saying they'd be forced to run some kind of super up tempo offense....like 2004 Phoenix Suns or some shyt. But again I cant see how that would translate into more wins for the Clippers nor any type of playoff success.
