Only because of his back. Talent-wise many had him as a top 5 pick. I don't agree with that, BTW.

A lot of mocks had him linked to Chicago at 7 and NY fans definitely wanted Porter at 9 til they got more info about his back. Before the lotto, Porter was linked to the Kings when they were slated to pick in that same range, so if they ever wanted to move down, he coulda been a trade down target.


He fell strictly because of his back and the possibility of him missing year 1 entirely
