If the nightmare than was the GWBush years didn't wake people up to the eventual downfall of this country...America after January 20th, 2017 will.

Get a work visa, get a passport....get off of this sinking ship!
By that time, I'll have enough cash I'll just buy all your land as ya'll leave.. and wait for you to return and pay the piper :smugbiden:

Meanwhile, 76% of Americans are living check to check...but they mad at us though

I see this as opportunity to come up though.
People waste so much time and money on bullshyt.
The rich get richer because they focus on making money and business...how many people do you know that really focus on the come up? Its not that many...most folks are content w/ some whack ass job, and then coming home and watching tv.

You have a point, a lot of people get comfy as soon as the get a steady job. They could care less about finding other revenue streams as long as the get that direct deposit every 2 weeks... Some would call them under achievers, but you also have to understand that everyone isn't built same :manny:

That being said. It's not so easy to come about wealth, especially if you weren't born into it, and it gets exponentially worse if you grew up in poverty. Don't get me wrong, you can make a decent living outside of the 9-5 hamster wheel, but there are still variables; mindset, networking, opportunity, luck etc.

no doubt.

its just that I got tired of showing friends of mine there are better ways to live. Cats that have been working the same job for years making 13/hr that constantly complain about being broke...nikkas come home, smoke a blunt and turn on the Playstation every night. I try and show them easy hustles that only require a little effort and they dont want to work...just would rather complain about shyt.

its not just black folks...my girlfriend has a buddy just like this...white girl that is always down about something...bytch constantly talking about how she cant get on in her field...and my girl knows damn near everyone in the city in her field, and has a yearly festival!!! bytch doesnt even want to come down to chop it up at parties and get her work looked at...but every time you see her something is wrong.

I see shyt like this...
... http://lifehacker.com/how-i-earn-my-living-buying-and-selling-appliances-on-c-555205905
and my mind is just blown :mindblown: how many Americans are just asleep at the wheel.

The writer of that article even says...he isnt afraid of telling people how he makes money, he already knows folks dont want to work hard

When I first started, I was worried about sharing what I've learned about the business and the potential for increased competition. A business mentor of mine basically told me not to worry for a couple reasons. Most people won't do anything with the information you give them. Those that would like to, often aren't willing to work hard enough or be diligent enough to stick with it long enough for it to succeed. Sadly it's often true. I didn't get much help for quite a long time in my entreprenurial journey, and it wasn't easy. So I do what I can to make the process a little easier for others.

Most people would be dead than to go backwards. Especially the ADD generation.

black folks really need to get on that Agriculture tip again too. We are going to need to have the ability to farm & trade with each other for food once things go down

We're seeing it more and more.

From legal cases being ruled in the COMPLETE opposite of what you'd expect to outright racist and incendiary commentary shaping the dialogue about social and race topics.

The dominant society is using Obama as a back door to justify everything they've wanted to do for a long time.

Its far more subversive than its ever been but they're slowly taking a crack at every strong hold we've made in the last 50 years.

People are trying to get rid of affirmative action.

They're abolishing voting rights.

They're targeting the debate about violence and classifying it based on race instead of culture and economics.

We're seeing more confrontation responses to people who want to talk about race as being...race baiters and reverse racists..:what:

If you talk about privilege, then you're being TOO politically correct. :beli:

You all see it.

Moreover...with someone like Obama in office...they'll use that as a standard of why YOU didn't succeed. If you're not making it, they'll point to Obama and wonder why you couldn't compete.

Its really about to be high-time for people of color in this country and I hope ya'll are getting ready.

I'm not negating all of the progress thats been made, but don't for a second think that the dominant society isn't concerned about their ever-so-slowly diminishing piece of the pie. They're VERY aware of it.

We're still ~12% of this country and have been for some time. Don't forget that.

that has nothing to do with black people, the latinos are making everybody well aware of it

good post.

You haven't heard about automation?

How google and other companies are working on robotics tech to completely replace human operated jobs?

You do know this is 2014 right? The 21st century? Did you think we'd humans continuing to work jobs that could be replaced by automated robots? Especially considering the absolute upheaval and outsourcing of industry jobs in the 70s-90s?

And they are estimated to replace 70% of the jobs in America...a youtube search on this will lead you to many videos that aren't fiction or conspiracy...but real!

Some of y'all need to stop thinking shyt is so sweet over here. Empires rise and fall.

ok, so, let me get this straight. they want to wipe out the people who will buy their products and drive their economy? word? :what: the economy is shifting. we're transitioning to a new period, where automation will see us become an information driven society rather than one that's purely industrial. it's not hard to grasp. the idea that the wealthy want to wipe out the human race and replace them with automatons doesn't even make sense on a grand scale of things.

again, it's just alex jones-esque nonsense. we are pushing towards a more humanist society, one that isn't so brutally tied to the dollar. instead, we are evolving as a community, and i think obama is one of the key people driving that renaissance. if you look at his policies and what he's done, there is a clear argument to be made that he is working atop a platform of social humanism. do some research on the founders of google and others spearheading our tech boom. they're humanists. they are trying to ween us off this slave rent economy as best they can.

1st Round Playoff Exits
:ehh: OP makes some compelling points.

This one I have to slightly disagree with though. An ever growing group of whites are starting to feel threatened and are finding more support in public forums like social media and conservative news outlets. Mainly it's been the reaction of older whites in the aggregate (and the interests that cater to them). The same whites who don't really have shyt except their vote and their numbers. However, the top 1% ain't worried at all. They've greatly increased their wealth and political influence over the last 30 to 40 years, and nothing seems to be stopping this trend.

I definitely agree with you on the importance of an entrepreneurial drive and a proactive approach to a competitive marketplace. These approaches are becoming more of a necessity since the buying power of our dollar hasn't gone up in roughly 30 to 40 years, but the cost of living has. You cant support a 4 person household with one person making the average salary in many places in this country like you used to.

But back to my original point, racial infighting is only distracting us from the real issue. Wealth is being accumulated at the top at a rate and magnitude we haven't seen before (in this country anyway). This will undoubtedly shift public policy in the future and not to most of our benefits. Not to knock a successful person's hustle but the rich also get richer through beneficial policies such a lower tax rates and corporate subsidies from the government.

The key is to keep the majority of whites distracted and mad at us for bullshyt reasons and voting against their interests. This Lincoln I got from this thread articulates my point better than I.

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/thoughts-on-this-lincoln-quote-about-money-and-politics.185431/

"The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the Bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.. corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money powers of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed."

This response just sounds hopelessly naive and devoid of any real research into the subject. As well, with technology, you only need a few people to operate a bunch of anything (no matter what it is).

Also humanism and capitalism simply just cannot exist in the same space.
