they got him for a 5th.....

brees didnt like him personally....

they can grab someone like stefon diggs, nelson a, or rashad greene with that 3rd rounder

now they have another "kenny stills" on a rookie deal for 4 extra years

seems like a smart gm to me :ld:

He's probably gonna want to get paid after next year... And how good is dude really?

They drafted him in the 5th round and flipped him into a 3rd rounder

Sounds like they got good value back for what he essentially cost them

why would you trade a relatively cheap productive wr even though he likes to play dress up but thats normal in new orleans?

one of the better trades the Fish have made in a long time

theres no guarantee any 1st round WR can play, let alone 3rd. I like the crop as much as anyone but getting a 900 yard guy whose only 22 for a 3rd rounder was a good deal. Saints have made some weird moves, we just matched Mike Wallace's production for 1/15th the cost

Ellerbe isn't really worth mention, hes 29 and has never played a whole year. and he sucks

i cant argue w/ 1st part. but it always seems people who leave "oh that dude? locker room cancer"
plenty of complaints about Jimmy graham now that he's gone

As for the 2nd part, theres no guarantee a WR can reach the level of being a starter and having good production, no matter what. If you have a bargain whos a starter, just enjoy it and flip some other people with bad contracts instead.

I mean seahawks got russ wilson round 3. imagine if they said, well how about we flip him and maybe we can find a QB in round 6 instead?

I'll lol when Stills becomes Robert Meachem II.

But I fail to see how it was a poor trade for the Saints. A guy we took in the 5th rd, who was never a Pro Bowler or lights out WR, we flipped into a starting linebacker (who I'm not hyping up to be good or anything) and a 3rd rd pick. That's amazing value.

I wish Kenny the best. He's a good player. He's not a world beater though. To get him for a 3rd rder is crazy. Minnesota and Chicago traded 2 better WRs and got scraps in return. :russ:
